- Nepenthes cornuta is only found on the Pantaron Mountain Range in Mindanao, Philippines at 1000 m.a.s.l..

N. cornuta was only described in 2014, the epithet "cornuta" means "horned" and refers to the curved shape of the upper pitchers.
The lower pitchers correspond to the typical pitchers shape of the N. alata group and are green with intense red stripes/spots and a red-striped peristome.
Very robust representative that will feel comfortable in a lot of setups
