The soil is still damp , Iam waiting to dry before watering again or should I water more regularly?

Yes, venus flytraps are native to bogs and wetland areas thus the soil should stay moist all at all times. The easiest way to achieve this, is by placing your plant in a shallow tray, adding 1cm rain or distilled water. The ‘soil’ is designed to soak up water from the bottom. Let the tray dry slightly and fill it up again to the 1cm mark when dry. See the full care sheet below for your reference⬇️
