Sundew: Drosera Coccicaulis (The red stem sundew)
- Species: Drosera
- Drosera Coccicaulis is another beautiful plant in the natalensis/dielsiana/
venusta complex - They produce pink flowers, and very similar to drosera venusta, its rounded leaves and semi-erect growing habit makes it very attractive
- Leaves acquire deep red colouration in bright light and are covered in small tentacles with tiny droplets of mucilage on each one. When an insect becomes stuck to a leaf, the leaf slowly curls around the trapped insect and digests it
- These are vigorous and easy-growing seed-grown sundews and prefer slightly cooler temperatures during the hot summer months
- Excellent candidate for terrarium or window-sill growing and makes a great plant for the beginner to expert sundew enthusiast alike

A beautiful little plant, was asked when people saw it if that was really dew on the leaves! Grows quickly, has a pretty colour, and a great addition to any collection!
