Description

Description
  • Extremely rare in carnivorous plant collections, Utricularia 'Nudlinger Flair' (Alpina x Humbolditii) is an wonderful cross with big, oval shaped leaves and large, orchid like flowers
  • Epiphytic utricularia uses bulbous traps underneath the soil level to catch and digest insects for nutrition
  • Even though the carnivorous magic happens below the soil level, utricularia are usually grown for the unique orchid-like flowers

    Care
      • Great for carnivorous plant bogs, epiphytic bladderworts can also be repotted on its own into live sphagnum moss or a mix of perlite and moist long fiber sphagnum moss
      • In optimal conditions, the plant plug will spread to fill the container over the next couple of months
      • Grow epiphytic bladderworts in a slightly cooler area with semi-shade or sheltered location with very bright light
      • Using the tray method, keep your plant standing in a tray with 0.5-1cm water (Rainwater, distilled- or reverse osmosis water preferred)
      • Top watering is fine too, keep your plant moist at all times - never let the moss or growing media dry completely
      • Epiphytic bladderworts do not flower as easily, but once they start be sure to enjoy them.  The flowering process is not as energy depleting as in the case of venus flytraps and sundews, thus bladderworts can definitely be left to flower

      Disclaimer
      • Just a quick heads-up: Since plants are natural products, you might notice some slight variations when unboxing your plants
      • We do our best to make sure the plants you receive look like the ones in the photos, but keep in mind that seasons change and plants grow. Some leaves might age and die off, new ones might sprout and the plants may look a bit different over time
      • 99% of what we sell are one-of-a-kind collector items, so you will receive the exact plant pictured. The labels are spot on, so even if the plant looks a bit different, we 100% guarantee it's the real deal
      • Also, all the photos you see are of our own plants unless we mention otherwise. We update images occasionally to keep things fresh. If you want to see updated pictures before you buy, just let us know – we're happy to help!
