HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR PLANT

Plant care & special considerations
  • 🏡 Grow in a frost free area outdoors or terrarium with 12-16 hours artificial (full spectrum) lighting
  • ☀️ Requires a minimum 6 hours direct sunlight
  • 💧 Moist, nutrient-free soil (rain or distilled water)
  • 🍴 No need to feed
  • 🌷 Cut flowerstalks for a healthier, dewy plant
  • 💤 No Dormancy required.  Grow in semi-shade during summer
  • ✅ Detailed care information is available in our online reference guide and the weblink is included with your purchase

Special considerations:

  • Drosera Capensis grow year-round and can adapt to almost any condition
  • As a mountainous species, this plant likes a very sunny window with mild temperatures. It may slow down significantly during the hottest parts of summer, but watch it take off again when the weather cools down
  • Cape sundews produce flower stalks up to 30 cm tall with numerous showy, pink flowers.  Flowering requires a lot of energy and might cause your plant to lose it's dew.  Cut flower stalks when they emerge for a healthier, dewy plant
