At Cultivo Carnivores, we deliver live plants, seeds, and accessories across South Africa with care. All orders are shipped from Centurion, Gauteng. Delivery options include local hand delivery, nationwide courier, and Pargo pickup points. Shipping fees, timelines, and exclusions are detailed below. By placing an order, you agree to our Refunds & Returns Policy.

Orders are packed within 1–2 working days, and delivery times vary depending on the courier and destination. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but may be affected by weather, courier schedules, or regional delays.

We currently deliver within South Africa only.

All live plant shipments are covered by our Arrive-Alive Guarantee, ensuring your plants reach you healthy and ready to grow.

  • Strawberry Pot: Located in Centurion near Pretoria, Strawberry Pot is a retail partner offering a majestic outdoor carnivorous plant display and a select range of our products in-store.
  • Marvellous Orchid: Situated in Boksburg, this is one of our authorised resellers and offers a seasonal selection of plants for sale in-store.
  • Dorry Pets: Based in Centurion, Dorry Pets offers a curated in-store selection of terrarium-friendly carnivorous plants and accessories, and also serves as a venue for workshops and masterclasses.

Where to Buy Our Plants

Buy Online via Our Website

  • Our website features a comprehensive catalogue of everything we offer. Seeds are available in quantities, while plants are offered in various sizes and potted or bareroot options. In most cases, you can expect to receive exactly what is pictured — ensuring there are no surprises. See individual listings for more details.
  • All plants are grown from seed or specially imported, sourced, or propagated from our private collection. We do not sell wild-collected plants or seeds.

Delivery and Pickup Options for Online Orders

  • Local Hand Delivery:
    • Areas Covered: Central Johannesburg, Centurion, Midrand, Pretoria
    • Service: Hand-delivered in an open box via our fragile flower delivery team
    • Managed by: Our community courier
    • Cost: R250 per address
  • Nationwide Courier Shipping:
    • Service: Door-to-door delivery, Monday to Friday
    • Provider: Usually shipped via The Courier Guy with tracking
    • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on parcel size and destination (from R178)
    • Lead Time: Orders are packed and shipped within 1–2 working days
    • Free Shipping: Available on online orders over R2000
    • Security: A signature or PIN code may be required at delivery
    • Note: Courier services cannot deliver to farms, plots, or PO Boxes

Once your parcel leaves our premises and a tracking number has been issued, the delivery process is managed by the selected courier service. Cultivo Carnivores cannot be held liable for delays, incorrect addresses, or parcels left unattended after successful delivery.

  • Pargo Pickup Points:
    • Service: Nationwide delivery to over 4,000 pickup points across South Africa
    • Perfect for: Secure estates, office parks, rural towns, or flexible collection
    • How it Works: Choose your nearest pickup point at checkout and you’ll be notified when your parcel is ready for collection
    • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on parcel size and destination (from R139)
  • Click and Collect (Free):
    • Pickup Point: Free collection available at Strawberry Pot in Centurion
    • Timing: Collection usually available 1–3 days after placing your order
    • You’ll be notified once your parcel has been dropped off and is ready for collection

  • We’re not a dedicated wholesaler, but we do offer occasional once-off deals or value packs when we have extra plants available.
  • This usually happens after winter dormancy when plants are divided and repotted for the new season.

  • Explore our all-season carnivorous plant display garden at Strawberry Pot Nursery in Centurion. Entry is free and the garden is open daily during regular nursery hours.
  • While plants look their best in summer, feel free to visit in winter to see how dormant plants rest between seasons.

  • Don't miss our For Sale Table at Strawberry Pot, featuring a rotating selection of in-season plants and supplies.
  • During winter, plants are sold as healthy, dormant bulbs — pre-planted and ready for spring.
