- We are extremely excited to introduce another Cultivo exclusive to South Africa's CP enthusiasts community
- Drosera xAndromeda is a popular hybrid with very unique paddle-shaped leaves, created by master carnivorous plant horticulturist, Kamil Pasek
- This collector plant is a cross between 2 of the 3 Queensland sisters - Drosera Prolifera and Drosera Schizandra
- Sundews classified in the the Queensland triad generally prefer cool temperatures with low to moderate light and high humidity, making them ideal candidates for terrariums and greenhouses providing highland conditions
- Being a hybrid, Drosera xAndromeda tolerates a little more light than it's Schizandra parent which means that they'll enjoy that indoors spot on a windowsill where other carnivorous plants will not thrive
- Queensland sundews are rare in cultivation and will be a fantastic addition to the ultimate connoisseur collection - highly recommended for carnivorous plant enthusiasts ready to advance to the next level
- Whether you prefer starting off with a younger plant and watch it grow into full majestic glory over the years or jumping in with more munch, right from the get go, we've got you covered! Cultivo is all about choices and our plants are available in various sizes and options to suit your every need. These are medium to near-flowering size plants with very fragile roots and do not transplant well. For this reason they will be sent already potted in our deluxe carnivorous plant soil. Simply unwrap, water and enjoy!
Care
- General care includes distilled- or reverse osmosis water via the tray method and low to moderate light - Let the tray dry slightly between waterings
- Similar to it's parents, Drosera xAndromeda prefers cool and humid conditions year round and would thrive in a controlled terrarium setting or moderately lighted windowsill
- Highly recommended for the more experienced carnivorous plant grower's ultimate collection
- Flowering requires a lot of energy and might cause your plant to lose it's dew
- Cut flower stalks when they emerge for a healthier, dewy plant
