Why can't I see the traps working?
The bladder traps are tiny (less than 1mm) and operate below the soil surface. The action happens in 1/500th of a second — you'd need a microscope and high-speed camera to witness it. But trust us, it's happening constantly.

Will it flower?
Yes — and freely! Bladderworts and Butterworts are the flowering stars of the beginner range. Expect delicate orchid-like blooms on tall stalks, typically in late spring through summer. Smaller clumps may take a little longer to reach flowering stage — give it time to establish and it'll reward you.

Does it need dormancy?
No — terrestrial Bladderworts grow year-round when conditions are right. No winter die-back needed, making them one of the easiest carnivorous plants to maintain.

Can I use tap water?
No — tap water contains minerals that will harm carnivorous plants over time. Always use rainwater, distilled water, or reverse osmosis (low-mineral) water.

Is it good for terrariums?
