My plant's pitchers look dead in winter — is it okay?
Yes! Trumpet Pitchers naturally die back during dormancy. The pitchers brown and collapse, but the rhizome underground is alive and storing energy. Keep the soil damp and wait for spring — new pitchers emerge with a vengeance.

Can I skip dormancy?
No — dormancy is essential for long-term health and vigorous spring growth. Without a winter rest, plants weaken and eventually die. Embrace the seasonal cycle!

Can I use tap water?
No — tap water contains minerals that will harm carnivorous plants over time. Always use rainwater, distilled water, or reverse osmosis (low-mineral) water.

Can I grow it indoors?
No — Trumpet Pitchers require full outdoor sun and natural seasonal temperature changes for dormancy. They're not suited to indoor growing.

How big will it get?
Mature Trumpet Pitchers can reach 20–40 cm+ tall depending on the variety, with multiple pitchers creating a stunning display.
