This is an intermediate-growing Pinguicula that thrives in a wide range of setups: a bright north-facing windowsill, a large terrarium or paludarium, or outdoors in bright, semi-shade. Does Pinguicula gigantea go dormant?

No. Unlike many Mexican butterworts, P. gigantea stays carnivorous all year. It may shrink slightly in winter, but it does not form a succulent rosette. This makes it one of the easiest and most consistent Pinguicula species to grow.
