Sarracenia flava var. ornata ‘P4’ • Cultivo Seed-Grown Original Division
A striking location-provenance Sarracenia flava var. ornata selected at Cultivo for its tall pitchers, bright yellow-green colour and spectacular deep red venation across the throat and hood.
- Cultivo Seed-Grown Original P4 - originally raised from location seed from Apalachicola National Forest, Gulf Coast, Florida and selected at Cultivo
- True vegetative divisions of our original P4 mother plant - preserving the exact genetics and characteristics of this selected clone
- Classic flava var. ornata characteristics - tall upright pitchers with striking red venation that becomes especially prominent across the throat and hood
- Yellow spring flowers on mature, flowering-size plants
- Fully acclimatised to South African outdoor growing - ready for direct sun
- Ships bareroot - ready to pot into your preferred Sarracenia mix, bog garden or outdoor display pot
- Spring update: Fresh spring pitchers are now emerging for the new growing season
📸 Representative photos: Images show mature growth and characteristics. Plants are selected from the size chosen above and may vary in pitcher count and seasonal appearance. Plants are shipped bareroot with roots wrapped in moist sphagnum moss for safe transit.

Frequently Asked Question
Why do you use Pargo instead of PUDO?
We partner with Pargo because it forms part of our approved fragile-goods courier network. Parcels are stored indoors at local businesses, protected from heat, direct sunlight and the weather until collection. It's an excellent option if you're not home during the day or prefer collecting your parcel when it's convenient.
To protect every order and uphold our Arrive-Alive Guarantee, we use only Pargo and other approved delivery services trusted to transport fragile and temperature-sensitive plants safely.
- Just a quick heads-up: Since plants are natural products, you might notice some slight variations when unboxing your plants
- We do our best to make sure the plants you receive look like the ones in the photos, but keep in mind that seasons change and plants grow. Some leaves might age and die off, new ones might sprout and the plants may look a bit different over time
- Cultivo is a boutique-style store and 99% of what we sell are one-of-a-kind collector items, so you will receive the exact plant pictured. Some are once-off or limited releases, which means they are available only while stocks last. The labels are spot on, so even if the plant looks a bit different, we 100% guarantee it’s the real deal
- Also, all the photos you see are of our own plants unless we mention otherwise. We update images occasionally to keep things fresh. If you want to see updated pictures before you buy, just let us know - we’re happy to help!
