First formally described in 2014, N. cornuta belongs to the Philippine N. alata group and is particularly known for the unusual curved form of its upper pitchers. The name cornuta means “horned” - a reference to this distinctive pitcher shape.

This exact plant has been grown on and acclimatised in our own collection and is now approximately 14–15cm across, with characteristic pitchers already developing.
