Will this be restocked?
- At Cultivo, every release is carefully selected and grown with purpose. We don’t mass restock - most plants are small-batch, seasonal or one-of-a-kind “exact plant pictured” pieces. Once they’re sold, they’re truly gone. That’s why you won’t see a typical “email me when available” option on these listings
- Some seasonal items or small-batch variants may return in the future. If that happens, we’ll update the original listing with new photos and details

Description
- Amorphophallus is a tropical East and South Asian plant in the Aroid family, also known as konjaku, konnyaku potato, devil's tongue, voodoo lily, snake palm, or elephant yam
- Amorphallus Konjac grows to around 1.3m from an underground tuber. Flowering only occurs after many years and when old enough, the tuber produces a fascinating (and very unusual) flower resembling a giant purple vase which smells like..... yup you've guessed it... rotting flesh... hence the name corpse flower! Pretty cool for the carnivorous plant world huh?!
- Rarely offered at this size, these are well established plants around 70cm tall. Plants are sold in 25cm pots and due to their size and weight, will have to be collected from the Strawberry pot in Centurion - this option is available at the checkout section
Shipping
- Due to their size, these plants are available for collection @ Strawberry pot in Centurion only
- No shipping options available
Care
- Amorphophallus is a summer-growing tropical plant, best grown in an outdoor setting (semi-shade) or sunny patio
- They are heavy feeders and we recommend fertilising with a nitrogen rich fertiliser twice a month while they are actively growing
- During the growing season, water every other day to ensure soil stays moist without letting it dry completely or leaving your plant with wet feet for extended periods of time to prevent rot
- Amorphopallus is frost tender - protect during cold spells and during winter time. During the colder months of the year, plants die back to an underground bulb and can be overwintered indoors in a basement or garage.
- The soil may be covered with spanish- or green forest moss to maintain humidity. Note that this moss is used as a soil additive for tropical plants and is heavily fertilised. It is not live sphagnum moss and not suitable for carnivorous plants
