- Nepenthes spectabilis BE 3768 are all different individuals from seed.
- Borneo Exotics first introduced this group of spectabilis in June 2017. The female parent is from North Sumatra and is the selected clone affectionately known as “The Ugly Duckling”, formerly sold as BE-3179. The male parent is the slender form from G. Sibuatan, selected from amongst the clones sold under BE-3177
