Will buy again and happily recommend

Being new to keeping CPs, i had a lot of questions and Theresa was more than accommodating. She gave me ample information while at her place and even directed me to youtube channels where i could learn more. As such, i not only purchased a sundew but also while there, i purchased a nepenthes. The quality of both plants BTW is amazing - she really cares for her plants.

Product Details
Description
  • Species: Drosera
  • The red variety of the Cape sundew (octopus plant) is a truly remarkable plant. During summer it has colourful tentacles and produces dark pink flowers
    • Each tentacle has a small droplet of glistening mucilage. Insects become stuck to the tentacles and are then digested by the plant
  • This is a fantastic plant that changes colour as the season progresses ranging from green to a tantalising rosegold
  • To maintain this transition, you will need to grow this plant in full sun conditions.  The best colour is evident in late fall to early winter where after leaves lose some of its redness and perks up again in summer when light levels are stronger
  • Cape Sundews are easy growers and highly recommended for beginner carnivorous plant enthusiasts
  • Whether you prefer starting off with a younger plant and watch it grow into full majestic glory over the years or jumping in with more munch, right from the get go, we've got you covered!  Cultivo is all about choices and our plants are available in various sizes and options to suit your every need.  These are medium to near-flowering size plants, sold either bareroot or already potted in our deluxe carnivorous plant soil to take the hassle out of repotting. Simply unwrap, water and enjoy!

    Care
    • Cape Sundews do not require a dormancy period and will grow throughout the year
    • Unlike most of the other Cape Sundews - this variety prefers bright and warm conditions
      • In fall and winter, the red cape sundew variety will lose some of its redness, but will colour up again in spring and summer when light levels are stronger
    • Flowering requires a lot of energy and might cause your plant to lose it's dew - Cut flower stalks when they emerge for a healthier, dewy plant

        Restock Alerts
        • Because Cultivo is a boutique-style store, most of our collector’s plants are one-of-a-kind “exact plant pictured” or limited seasonal releases. That means once they’re sold, they’re gone - so standard restock notifications aren’t practical here
        • A few seasonal plants or variants of small-batch releases may return in the future. If that happens, we’ll update the original listing with new photos and details
