Drosera madagascariensis is a subtropical sundew native to Madagascar, Botswana, and parts of South Africa. This upright-growing species produces tall stems with spoon-shaped leaves, each covered in sticky dew that sparkles in bright light and traps unsuspecting insects on contact.
This is a once-off listing and you’ll receive the exact plant pictured, currently growing in a well-rooted 3–5cm plug. Only one available!
This sundew is both easy to grow and fascinating to watch — known for its upright habit (mature size 15–20cm), eventual toppling, and ability to send up a new generation of seedlings from its roots after older stems begin to die back.
It thrives in humid, sunny conditions and is ideal for windowsills, terrariums, or carnivorous plant setups. This is a seed-grown plant, not a clone, grown out at Cultivo and fully acclimatised to South African conditions.

- Because Cultivo is a boutique-style store, most of our collector’s plants are one-of-a-kind “exact plant pictured” or limited seasonal releases. That means once they’re sold, they’re gone - so standard restock notifications aren’t practical here
- A few seasonal plants or variants of small-batch releases may return in the future. If that happens, we’ll update the original listing with new photos and details
