Macodes petola is one of the most mesmerising jewel orchids you can grow and a true showstopper in any terrarium setup. This rare species is native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and is instantly recognisable by its velvety dark leaves adorned with glittering, lightning-bolt veins that shimmer like gold thread under the light.
This isn't your typical orchid. It's grown for its stunning foliage rather than flowers, with a slow, compact growth habit and very specific care requirements.
