- At Cultivo, every release is carefully selected and grown with purpose. We don’t mass restock - most plants are small-batch, seasonal or one-of-a-kind “exact plant pictured” pieces. Once they’re sold, they’re truly gone. That’s why you won’t see a typical “email me when available” option on these listings
- Some seasonal items or small-batch variants may return in the future. If that happens, we’ll update the original listing with new photos and details

Grow Southern Purple Pitcher Plants from seed!
This open-pollinated batch of Sarracenia purpurea var. montana (also known as Sarracenia rosea) comes from legally grown parent plants. While the mother plant shows the classic southern pitcher form, the open pollination means hybrids are possible in the offspring.
Seeds were collected in Summer 23/24 and batch-tested for germination. Like all temperate Sarracenia, these seeds require cold stratification for successful sprouting.
- Open-pollinated batch – hybrid traits may appear
- Classic montana/rosea form with broad pitchers and short hoods
- In-season harvest · Batch viability tested
- Cold stratification required for germination
You'll receive a digital sowing guide with your order. For the complete setup, check out our Seed Starter Kit or get personalised help through a Seed Starting Consultation.
Note: As an open-pollinated batch, each seedling is potentially unique — ideal for growers who enjoy surprises and variety in their collection.
