- At Cultivo, every release is carefully selected and grown with purpose. We don’t mass restock - most plants are small-batch, seasonal or one-of-a-kind “exact plant pictured” pieces. Once they’re sold, they’re truly gone. That’s why you won’t see a typical “email me when available” option on these listings
- Some seasonal items or small-batch variants may return in the future. If that happens, we’ll update the original listing with new photos and details

Nepenthes lowii (Mulu) × mira — Wistuba Hybrid
A seed-grown hybrid from one of the world's most respected Nepenthes breeders. This cross was developed by Andreas Wistuba using his especially vigorous clone 7 of N. lowii (Mulu) — a named, sought-after clone — crossed with N. mira to produce offspring that are both visually striking and reliably vigorous.
This is a young plant with a long future ahead of it. At 5–7 cm leaf span with pitchers actively developing, it's at the stage where the collector gets to watch it grow into something exceptional. The deep red pitcher colouration — a trait strongly inherited from the lowii parent — is already showing.
What makes this plant stand out
- Andreas Wistuba provenance — bred using lowii Mulu clone 7, one of the most vigorous and sought-after lowii clones available
- Seed-grown individual — unique genetics; no two plants from this cross are identical
- Deep red juvenile pitchers — a signature lowii trait, strongly expressed from an early age
- Intermediate grower — adaptable, forgiving, and well-suited to windowsill or terrarium conditions
- One plant, one listing — WYSIWYG; you receive the exact plant photographed
Shipped bareroot — the collector's way
This plant ships bareroot with roots wrapped in moist sphagnum moss — arrives healthy, roots intact, ready to pot into your own mix exactly the way you want it. Bareroot shipping reduces transit stress, keeps the root zone healthy, and gives you full control over substrate and setup from day one. It's the method trusted by serious growers worldwide and it's how we ensure your plant arrives in the best possible condition.
Growing notes
N. lowii × mira thrives in intermediate conditions — bright indirect light, good airflow, and temperatures of 20–28°C during the day with a mild night drop. Suitable for a windowsill, open terrarium, or dedicated growing space. One of the more forgiving intermediate hybrids, and a rewarding long-term grower.
About the reference images

Quick FAQ
Why is this plant priced the way it is for its size?
Collector Nepenthes are priced on provenance and genetics, not just current size. This is a seed-grown individual from a Wistuba-bred cross using named clone parentage — that's what you're investing in, along with the years of growth ahead.
What size will I receive?
Current leaf span is 5–7 cm with pitchers actively developing. This is a WYSIWYG listing — the exact plant photographed is what you'll receive.
Is it difficult to grow?
No — this is one of the more adaptable intermediate hybrids. It handles typical home conditions well and is a good step up for a grower moving beyond beginner plants.
Can I only buy one?
Yes — once-off, single-plant listing. When it's gone, it's gone.
