- At Cultivo, every release is carefully selected and grown with purpose. We don’t mass restock - most plants are small-batch, seasonal or one-of-a-kind “exact plant pictured” pieces. Once they’re sold, they’re truly gone. That’s why you won’t see a typical “email me when available” option on these listings

Utricularia subulata is a charming terrestrial bladderwort, perfect for adding character to carnivorous plant bog gardens and mini setups. It’s well known for its unusually long, zigzagging flower stalks that appear in late spring and summer, topped with clusters of bright yellow blooms around 0.5cm in size.
This species forms a low, mossy carpet of tiny green leaves and spreads steadily in the right conditions. When in bloom, its tall, whimsical flower scapes seem to dance above the soil surface — creating a delicate, eye-catching display.
Like all bladderworts, Utricularia subulata uses underground suction traps to catch microscopic prey. These help supplement its nutrition in low-nutrient soil — although most growers keep it for its long-stemmed, playful blooms.
You’ll receive a rooted 2cm plug, ready to be planted out in your own bog garden or carnivorous plant setup.
