- Because Cultivo is a boutique-style store, most of our collector’s plants are one-of-a-kind “exact plant pictured” or limited seasonal releases. That means once they’re sold, they’re gone - so standard restock notifications aren’t practical here
- A few seasonal plants or variants of small-batch releases may return in the future. If that happens, we’ll update the original listing with new photos and details

Venus Flytrap ‘Giant Sawtooth’ - Near Flowering Size (FlytrapStore, USA)
Meet one of the true legends in my collection - the Giant Sawtooth from FlytrapStore, USA. Imported back in 2019, this exact plant has been happily growing outdoors here in South Africa ever since. It’s now flowering size, strong and fully settled - ready to take pride of place in someone else’s collection.
I’ve hand-picked this one for release because it’s mature, beautifully shaped and thriving - the kind of plant that instantly catches your eye when you walk past your collection.

💚 Why this plant is special
This isn’t your everyday flytrap. ‘Giant Sawtooth’ is famous for its bold, jagged trap edges and powerful summer growth. Each trap opens wide and snaps with attitude - it’s like the plant has a personality all its own.
Because it’s flowering size, it’s old enough to bloom meaning you could even use it for future seed projects or cross-pollination down the line. But honestly, it’s just as beautiful left to do its own thing - sending up new traps every few weeks in summer, each one bigger and redder than the last.
This exact specimen is already fully acclimatised to South African conditions and ships pre-planted, exactly as you see it in the photos. No repotting, no stress - just unpack, give it good light, keep the soil moist and enjoy watching it grow.

🌞 Growing tips (for South African conditions)
• Light: Loves full sun. Bright patios or the sunny outdoors works beautifully.
• Water: Rainwater or RO water only. Keep the tray topped up so the soil stays damp.
• Dormancy: It’ll slow down and rest over winter - this is completely normal. Come spring you’ll see larger, upright traps popping up again.
• Feeding: Let it hunt for itself. These traps are born hunters - they don’t need hand-feeding or fertiliser.
