A 1-3 Year Head Start and the Perfect Inbetweener

Bug-Munching Mini's™ are designed to give you a 1-3 year head start on growing carnivorous plants from seed and are around 1-3cm in size depending on the species. Instead of waiting for tiny seedlings to sprout and mature, you get a healthy young plant that's already past the most fragile stage!

💡 Transplanting note:  These young plants are transplant-size and won’t stay in their tiny pots forever! They’ll be outgrowing their mini pots soon, so I highly recommend repotting within 3 months. Perfect on its own to jumpstart your collection, popping into a bog to grow a savage garden or adding carnivorous magic to a terrarium! The Growth Journey of Bug-Munching Mini’s™ for Beginners - Singles Per Species

• Germination till date:  The "Waiting Game" begins! Before they were Bug-Munching Minis™, they were just tiny specks with big dreams. For the first year (or even up to 3 years!), these baby plants do what all babies do — they eat (sunlight!), hang around (photosynthesise!), sleep (dormancy!) and grow (very, very slowly!)
• Year 1-3:  Now 12-36 months old (fast forward to today), these Bug-Munching Minis™ are past the delicate seedling stage and are ready for a new home. They may be small (around 1-3cm), but they’re strong, well-established, and have fully functional traps - ready to impress!
• Year 3+:  Once they outgrow their mini pots, they graduate to 3-year-old starter plants (potted in 7.5cm pots) in our Carnivorous Plants for Beginners range
• Year 4+:  They are transplanted into their final pot size (10cm pots) and listed as Larger Plants in the Beginners range

FAQ: Will They Stay Small? Are These Miniatures?

• Not necessarily. Essentially, these are the toddlers of our Carnivorous Plants for Beginners Range
• While some carnivorous plants stay tiny, most will continue maturing over the years. In the carnivorous plant world, the most miniature species are usually found in sundews (Drosera) and butterworts (Pinguicula). But because these Bug-Munching Minis™ are seed-grown with unique genetics, there’s no way to guarantee their final size

Parcels are stored indoors at local businesses, protected from heat, direct sunlight and the weather until collection. It's an excellent option if you're not home during the day or prefer collecting your parcel when it's convenient.

To protect every order and uphold our Arrive-Alive Guarantee, we use only Pargo and other approved delivery services trusted to transport fragile and temperature-sensitive plants safely.

• Just a quick heads-up: Since plants are natural products, you might notice some slight variations when unboxing your plants
• We do our best to make sure the plants you receive look like the ones in the photos, but keep in mind that seasons change and plants grow. Some leaves might age and die off, new ones might sprout and the plants may look a bit different over time
