• Long fiber sphagnum is a light, fluffy moss - a perfect acidic medium either alone or as an ingredient for carnivorous plants and orchids
• On offer is rehydrated Chilean sphagnum moss, rehydrated and ready to use makes potting and repotting quick and easy, allowing the moss to settle around the roots
• We mainly use long fiber sphagnum moss on its own for windowsill and greenhouse condition plants - in particular to repot tropical pitcher plants, cephalotus, sun pitchers, cobra lilies, venus flytraps, sundews, tropical butterworts and some bladderworts with excellent results
• Long fiber sphagnum moss is also used as an ingredient in many of our carnivorous plant PROmixes and will be an excellent medium for starting out your seeds - helping create a light open mix with excellent water retaining properties
• If you are an orchid grower this is well worth trying and is very popular with orchid growers around the world. For Sun Pitchers and Cobra Lilies on the carnivore side and Disa orchids and other moisture loving orchids, mix with equal quantities of perlite for drainage
• This product is sold rehydrated and ready to use and will therefore not store well in a closed container. We recommend using it straight away to prevent mold or spreading it out in a single layer in an open container and airdry until ready to use
• For your convenience, Rehydrated long fiber sphagnum moss is pre-measured and 700ml will be enough (with a little extra) to fill a standard 10cm x 10cm plant nursery pot on its own
• The long fiber sphagnum moss we offer is imported and prepared for our store by a third party, we are therefor limited to individual packets and do not stock large quantities for wholesale purposes

We partner with Pargo because it forms part of our approved fragile-goods courier network. Parcels are stored indoors at local businesses, protected from heat, direct sunlight and the weather until collection. It's an excellent option if you're not home during the day or prefer collecting your parcel when it's convenient.
