Looking to buy carnivorous plant soil in South Africa?
Our PROmix™ blends are nutrient-free, professionally formulated, and ready to use. These premixed growing media are ideal for Venus flytraps, sundews, tropical and trumpet pitcher plants, butterworts, bladderworts, and even more specialised species like cephalotus, cobra lilies, and heliamphora.
Unlike regular potting soil and compost that contains minerals and fertilisers harmful to carnivorous plants, our premium blends mimic the natural, low-nutrient habitats they love. Each mix includes specialist ingredients like sphagnum peat moss, silica sand, perlite, and more — chosen for the perfect balance of drainage and water retention. They come ready to use — just add water.
These are the exact soil blends we use for our own plants — and now you can buy them online for delivery anywhere in South Africa.
📦 Special flat-rate option for dry goods:

🧪 This collection includes more than just premixed soils — you'll also find essential growing media and layering substrates used for carnivorous plant terrariums and other advanced projects. From long-fiber and live sphagnum moss for repotting and propagation, to lava rock, LECA clay pellets, horticultural charcoal and stratum jungle soil — everything you need to build the perfect root zone or base layer is here.
